Written and recorded through February 2021 only...or should I say the last week of the month!!!
This year I didn't have a piano at home, which is usually my go-to when it's time for music. "Sans marteau" means without any hammer, that usually would knock on the strings of a piano. So this year, I challenged myself to try to write in French, and also to produce songs with only cello and guitar, which are less fluent mediums to me (thanks to Kathleen P for landing me your guitar!!) It is also my first time recording and mixing audio, without throwing all the swear word possible both in French and English.
Recorded with an Android phone and mixed with average headphones, these tracks have a “rustic” vibe, let's say. Hope you enjoy the tiny bits of Quebec's 90s show samples.

Cette année, mon défi était surtout de m'initier à l'enregistrement et le mixage audio, mais en plus, de travailler avec des instruments qui sont beaucoup moins "confortable" pour moi, n'ayant pas de piano à la maison, et tous mes pianos publics étant en "lockdown", je ne suis retrouvé à composer sans les marteaux qui frapperaient sur les cordes d'un piano. Je remercie Kathleen P qui a eu la gentillesse de me prête sa guitare.
Quelques clin d'oeil également à la série Chambre en ville, produites dans les années 90s, ère pré milléniale et fascinante.
